Contribute Anyone?

Who among you have used Contribute as a CMS? A commenter asks for assessments of that tool.

Contribute

I had a good discussion a couple weeks ago with Bucknell University about Ingeniux.

Ektron?

Lots of options are out there ....

I use Contribute to manage www.nsbri.org. I've had a positive experience with the tool, but I'm not able to make changes to pages that are database driven - only to pages that are by most means static. I'd be glad to talk about it to anyone interested.

Best,
Lauren

I use Contribute and it works well for us. It's fairly simple to use and has a few safety features included so you can't accidentally publish a page you're still working on. Ours is set up with a series of templates and an administrator locks out part of the page (e.g. header graphics, the navigation pane) so that contributors can't monkey around with those. Contributors also do not have access to the HTML code for the same reason.

Tim:

I like the idea of being able to lock out certain sections of the page, to avoid users from really going to town with important branding elements of the site. Is there a "funnel" system in that one or two main administrators approve each page before it goes live?
